I can appreciate we have to find ways to nourish our dogs and our family by watching our pennies, on the other hand when buying the cheapest food for our dog is not always the best option if we end up giving that money back to the vet.

So the question is how can we find out what to feed our dogs on to save money and keep our dogs in good heath and not have to spend money on vet bills.

Dogs are the same as us with regards to the food we eat that it does have an influence on our health, when you look at the obesity, health problems in the world we consume to many junk foods for instance; ready made meals, burgers, French fries, and the results are plain to see bad health, and overweight.

With regard to dog food the same thing applies by feeding your dog meals with plenty of nutriments then it makes sense you can have a healthy dog; they would not be susceptible to the common diseases that are out there.

It’s no surprise that our pets can catch diseases if they are not in their best health, as we all know how they like to mix with other dogs and sniffing around is quite a natural function for them, and often that could mean dogs poop this is often how they can get infected with diseases.

If you are looking for good quality products then look for the names on the products such as chicken meal, beef, a further one you can be confident of is a product that contains corn as the foremost feature.

In this article I have only touched the fringe of what to look out for to get the best diet for our dogs, but I hope this has given some clues to keeping your dog happy and healthy.

Hook worms and round worms can pass through her into her kittens.  It is important to worm your cat, and other pets, regularly to avoid infestation.  Make sure to discuss worming your pregnant cat with your veterinarian.
The third issue to consider is your cat’s diet.  Your girl needs nutrition for herself and now kittens as well.  You will notice your cat eating more than usual as her pregnancy progresses.  Toward the later stages of her pregnancy, supplement her regular food with food formulated for kittens.
The fourth tip that will help you ensure your pet cat a healthy pregnancy and healthy kittens is to increase the amount of water she drinks.  Make sure her water bowl is kept clean and refresh the water everyday.
The fifth tip is to keep the litter clean.  The litter box will stink just a little worse when your female cat becomes pregnant.  Use a litter containing baking soda.  If your cat is an outdoor cat or an indoor/outdoor cat that usually relieves herself outside, prepare an indoor litter box for her and make sure she knows where it is.
The sixth tip to help you to care for your female cat during her pregnancy is to hold her often.  Cats are very affectionate.  They love to be loved.  You will most likely notice your she-cat going through mood swings.
The seventh tip I can give you is to keep your pregnant cat clean. Actually bathing your cat with water and shampoo is not a good idea.  But keep a clean cat brush on hand and use it often.  If you feel your cat needs to be bathed, check you’re your veterinarian first.  Make sure the shampoo you use is a cat shampoo that is safe to use on pregnant and lactating cats.
The eighth suggestion that will help you to ensure a great and healthy pregnancy for your special female cat is to keep her free of flees.  A cat who is loaded with flees is not a happy or a healthy cat.  A flee collar will work, as will a flee treatment.  But again, check with your veterinarian first, ask them to recommend a safe and effected flea remedy.
The ninth tip and suggestion I give you is to help her find the place where she will have her kittens.  Line a large but relatively shallow box with soft fabrics.  You can use old blankets and sheets.  Find a secluded place, where the mother cat will feel secure and safe with her kittens.  If you are in a cold climate, make sure her special place is warm.

10. The tenth thing you can do is to help her through birth. When the time comes you’ll know. When she goes into labor she will cry and meow in pain.  She may not want to be touched.  Stay close by but give her some space and privacy.
