Pet Food Recall infor from Purina (more of a comment than a question)?
Importantly, no Purina brand dry pet foods are affected by the recall – including ALPO Prime Cuts dry. In addition, no other Purina dog food products, no Purina cat food products, Purina treat products or Purina Veterinary Diet products are included in this recall, nor have been impacted by the contaminated wheat gluten supply.
At Purina, nothing is more important to us than the health and well-being of the pets whose nutrition has been entrusted to us by their owners, and we deeply regret this unfortunate situation. We will continue to take any and all actions necessary to ensure the quality and safety of our products.

I suppose we are to be impressed and taken in by Purina’s PR blitz in every possible media forum. While I am sure that many of the individual people who work at Purina are very sorrowful for these most unfortunate events that have transpired recently, I still cannot help but harbor distaste and disrespect for any and all corporate conglomerates, as a whole, but especially those who prey on innocent animals for their profit. I am sure many will be taken in by Purina’s dubious condolences, but I see it as nothing more than a shameful attempt at damage control and to use these sad times to boost Purina’s sales profits. This advertising here is something akin to ambulance chasing attorneys. I think that all of us who have lost our beloved pets deserve a little more respect than that.

I think that they need to THROW IT ALL AWAY and start from scratch. They will have a civil war on their hands if they are not carefull!
