I was looking to adopt a cat at animal control, and one cat really caught my eye. The gender is unknown, it was a longhair and very friendly, always acting affectionate, the one abnormal thing I’ve noticed is its size. This cat is gigantic, it’s not obese or overweight, but pure muscle. I don’t know the exact weight, but it was about 3-5 five times bigger than the average cat size. When it rubbed up against people, it was so strong, I’ve never seen a normal house cat this big and not obese, is there a particular breed thats abnormally huge?
How big can a healthy cat get?

Go look up “Maine Coon” – they can be one big puddy cat!
i can’t think of any at the moment but my cat is gigantic too (not fat), he’s a tabby.
Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest are both long haired gentle giants
the top three biggest long haired cats are the
pixie-bob
maine coon
norwegian forest cat
hope that helps! gender can also affect the size and weight of the cat.
