Why Purchase Pet Supplies Online

Whether they own a bird, a cat, dog or an iguana, proud pet parents often take their pets to stores that cater to the needs of this demographic. These pet stores can also be a place to socialize for pet owners as well as a locale for animals to meet and befriend animals.

This fun and friendly environment can make individuals overlook the fact that many of the items in these stores are outrageously over priced. Besides, taking one’s pet to the park can help provide the human and animal social interaction that one may need just as well.

The reality is, in tough economic times, it would be foolish to throw good money after bad for atmosphere. Savvy modern pet lovers have learned that the web has plenty to offer in the realm of pet supplies and at discounted prices that allow you to save money while taking care of your pets needs.

Internet shopping – the future wave has come

The modern day convenience of the internet cannot be understated. Where else can you research a term paper, get a dose of national news and purchase a pair of shoes all in one fell swoop?

When the Internet was first introduced, it was called the information superhighway, but fairly soon pundits were predicting that e-commerce would become the wave of the future. Despite a shaky start up, Internet business did flourish.

Because of a lack of tremendous overhead, these companies can offer merchandise at enormous savings to consumers. People can obtain pet supplies and related items by investigating the Internet businesses that provides these products.

Yet and still, the uninitiated may wonder how safe it is to purchase online and question if what they are getting is high quality.

Secure Socket Layer certificates

During the Internet’s infancy, people were unaware of the dangers hacker represented. They soon learned the hard way however after highly intelligent and sophisticated net users obtained information like credit card numbers and other personal info. This illegally obtained information was used to purchase items and max out credits cards, but because the technology was new at the time, innocent victims were left footing the bill.

This is why Netscape devised Secure Socket Layer or SSL s certificates. Used to encrypt messages, these certificates protect your information by making it unintelligible to would be hackers. Even those of some skill cannot break these complex codes.

With this in mind, you can rest assured that your identity and your credit card numbers are protected. Just be sure to locate the SSL certificate on the main webpage so you can verify its authenticity. You can do this by clicking on the icon. A date should pop up-if the date is not current, the site is not protected and you should move on.

Guaranteeing quality

Individuals who use the Internet to do most of their shopping have learned a trick or two of the endeavor. Foremost among these tricks is to ensure that the website offers contact information.

If you can’t easily find information on the site then it may not be legitimate. Always look for a physical address, email and phone number. If the site can’t even provide that much information, it is suspect.

Check all information out with the BBC prior to purchase.

When you locate the info call, email the company and speak to a representative. By doing this, you can assert that the business exists. You can also find a bit more about the inventory they carry as well.

Luckily 99.9 percent of businesses located online are legitimate and the more you buy pet products online the faster you will be able to ferret out the bogus businesses from the legitimate ones.

Save on gas and money

With energy fluctuating and uncertainty about the future of bio fuels emerging, there is something to be said for limiting travel by car.

By purchasing your pet products via the internet you save on fuel costs. You can also locate great bargains which, once again, enable you to save a bit of cash. This is because there is less overhead with a internet business, especially one that doesn’t have a free standing building to pay rent on – in fact, many of these businesses are run straight out of the home, with distribution coming from a third party seller.

This is often the less expensive route to go and the savings are literally passed on to the consumer. If you find a place where you get great pet supplies, top notch service, fast delivery and fair prices, stick with them – not all Internet companies are made equal and ones that offer these things should be bookmarked and used often.

Online research

Another positive aspect of buying pet supplies online is that you can research the products you’d like to buy and well as the company you wish to purchase the items from.

For instance, if you wish to buy a cat carrier you can do a bit of comparison shopping or locate reviews that steer you towards more popular choices. You can also learn about the best more reliable places to buy pet related items online from other pet lovers.

More time with your pet

Running around town trying to locate necessities can seriously cut into quality time with your pet. Purchasing pet supplies online saves time as well as money and allows you to stop and smell the roses with your trusted companion.

There are so many reasons why buying pet supplies online is a good idea. For any neophyte who will be taking the plunge for the first time, trust your instincts. If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

There are many wonderful sites to choose from in this regard and if you are diligent, you may open the door to a long term relationship with a wonderful pet supply store. In turn, you will also free up time to enjoy the things that really matter in life.

i got this email from Iams bc i emailed them lol?

i emailed them bout how they treat animals lol and they email me bk with this Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately, there is highly inaccurate and misleading information circulating on the Internet regarding our feeding studies, and I’m glad you’ve given me the opportunity to provide you with the facts. We too are passionate about cats and dogs, with a deep commitment to their health and welfare.

We are accountable for making sure that our products are wholesome, and that consumers can feed them with confidence. Instead of contracting other companies to conduct our feeding studies, we choose to conduct such studies in the homes of our employee families. Today, over 600 employee families participate in our in-home testing program.

Even though the vast majority of our studies are conducted in an in-home setting, there are some studies that require in-depth data gathering in a more controlled environment. We do this type of feeding study in our company-owned Pet Health and Nutrition Center . These studies follow our industry leading research protocol and are the veterinary equivalent of nutritional or medical studies acceptable on people. The studies are monitored by our own staff of veterinarians, behaviorists and independent experts.

Our Pet Health and Nutrition Center is a state-of-the-art facility. Our dogs and cats live in a cageless environment, receiving proper socialization in an enriched setting.

Because dogs are pack animals, our dogs are housed with a companion. Each kennel has a doggie-door that takes them to an outside run, giving them lots of room for running and playing. Each dog is provided with his or her own toys (rotated on a regular basis) and their very own comfortable bed to sleep on. There is also a dog park adjacent to the kennels where the dogs play and interact each day in play groups.

Our cats are housed in compatible social groups. Each room is furnished with beds, toys (to stimulate play) and several perches, which allow our cats to observe things from a higher viewpoint. Each cat room also has a very large window with a platform where our cats can lay in the sun or watch the birds feeding at the outside bird feeders.

All of our dogs and cats reach a point in their life when it’s time to leave the Pet Health and Nutrition Center . That is when they are either adopted into a home or placed into our retirement facility. Either way, they will live out their lives in comfort with good food, good companionship, and good veterinary care.

In 2007 we had several members of the news media tour our facility. Their reports are available at:

The Benefits of Pet Insurance

For our faithful loyal life companions, pet owners will do everything they can to ensure that their pets have long and healthy lives. Pet owners today are much more in tune to their pets’ needs, their awareness of proper nutrition and their health and well-being are a priority. Today’s pet parent will treat their pets as a real member of the family-which entails maintaining proper health and longevity. As an intelligent and educated consumer, today’s pet owner is aware of all the latest in pet nutrition, pet diseases, and emotional health. But unfortunately our pet may become ill, or need surgery, or costly medications that may really put us in an unexpected and costly financial burden that we may not enable to overcome.

The peace of mind to be able to care for your pet in need- and the ability to afford to care for your four-legged friend is priceless. That is why many pet owners today seek pet health insurance. Pet insurance is a health plan not unlike our own health insurance. It is a health plan for your pet to insure against unexpected illnesses and the Vet bills that follow, and to alleviate much of the financial risk that may arise in the future. Pet insurance is basically “peace of mind insurance” which allows you to provide your pet with the best possible care, without the financial burden of costly rising veterinary services.

Rising veterinary costs mean that pet owners can pay up to thousands of dollars for their pets’ health problems. You cannot put a price tag on the health and well-being of your four- legged friend. In today’s market there are several pet health carriers to choose from, as an intelligent pet-parent you need to make many decisions based on the type of plan you choose and your own circumstance. Most pet owners will consider two main factors when shopping for pet insurance; budget and coverage. My best advice to you is to do your homework, ask questions, and ask your Vet for some advice. In the end, you must decide which type of pet insurance fits your life and needs, and decide among the right balance between affordability and the care you want for you pet.For more information vistit us at www.amazingdogsplace.com

Healthy Dog Food Recipes

Lets face it, do we really know what goes into the food that we feed to our dogs.Personally, I had no idea until I started doing a little research on it.After reading certain articles written by doctors, I was shocked to find out that most dog foods were all made with a variety of unhealthy chemicals. At this point it is not a secret, but again needs to be pointed out to those who are great animal lovers, with dogs being in particular.

Having read this, I decided to go about doing a small amount of research on how I could go about making my own homemade dog food, just to experiment and change my dogs diet .This is when I came across a website which was created by a doctor himself who was marketing his own dog food recipe book for dog owners. The guide contains some 250+ home made dog food recipes which exclude the usage of harmful products which are infamous for mineral deficiencies. The guide not only contains healthy dog food recipes but also other aspects of keeping your dog healthy such as:

1. healthy dog food recipes for both younger and older dogs

2. Natural recipe to keep fleas away

3. Gourmet Biscuit recipes

4. Dozens of recipes for delicious, economical, healthful dog food

5. Various other treats

Im sure most of you who care greatly for your dogs have probably spent hours talking to dog experts,as well as reading many books on dogs in order to get the sort of information available in this guide. So before you go and spend more money on expensive vets and other dog experts, do yourself a favour and try this ebook, because by the time you have finished reading this guide, you will probably know more than the pro’s do.

10 Tips on Keeping Pet Treatment Costs Low

A pet is a loved member of the family but costs of caring for a pet especially some breeds can be expensive. Food, grooming costs and vet bills can costs much more than you estimated when buying the pet.

Here are a few tips from pet lovers on how to keep costs down and yet care for the pet:

1. Find out about low-cost clinics that give shots. Information can be had online or from your local vet hospital or humane society.

2. When any illness needs treatment or surgery always take a second estimate and surf the internet to find out if there are any alternative treatments in use. An useful source is the Merck Veterinary Manual: http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp .

3. Be friendly with your vet and share your problems if any with him. Often vets help patients by giving them free medicines they get from manufacturers.

4. Consider feeding the pet home cooked food instead of the more expensive commercial food. The internet has many resources about pet nutrition and balanced diets.

5. Ensure good health by giving the pet the right amount of food, exercise, and training. Obese pets have greater health problems than fit pets.

6. Think about buying pet medicines online from discount stores.

7. Train your pet well and protect it from accidents by keeping it on leash when outdoors.

8. Before buying a pet because its cute or in fashion find out all you can about the breed, costs of upkeep, susceptible diseases and more. Talk to other pet owners and find out all about their experiences.

9. Think about signing up for a preventive health care package if your vet or local clinic offer one. If you take good care of the pet the costs are likely to be low.

10. Read up on preventable health hazards and on what foods are bad for pet health. Teach the pet not to beg or eat foods lying around.

A pet is a responsibility and needs great care. As a responsible pet parent you will need to know all you can about the breed. Decide on neutering and on how you can give your pet a long disease free life.

Find out about pet insurance and how you can get a comprehensive pet health policy for low premiums. The World Wide Web has in depth articles and tips on how to choose a pet, how to care for one, and all about pet health. Be an informed pet owner and buy or adopt a pet only if you can be a committed pet parent.

Is there a processed food with complete nutrition for Humans?

Our pets have pelleted foods that claim to provide just about every nutrient they need to be healthy. I am wondering if there such a convenience especially formulated for human beings. That would be awfully convenient
